The Good Art Series
The Good Art Series features an artist or a group of artists each month for the year of 2016.   The series is held at St. Susanna’s Parish in Dedham, MA.  The goal of the series is to support the "Good Art" around us and create a forum for all of our local communities to come together and foster good fellowship.  This series is free and open to all and for all people and all ages.   It is our hope the series will take on a life of its own as the artists and those that support them come together and evolve.  It's a wonderful way to support our local musicians, develop community, and have a good time!

What: New York saxophonist Daniel Bennett has been hailed as one of the most original and unpredictable musical voices of his generation.  Insite Magazine calls Bennett's music, “refreshingly capricious and trippy.”   The Village Voice raves, “saxophonist Daniel Bennett makes hay with an airy approach that's buoyant enough to conjure notions of East African guitar riffs and Steve Reich's pastoral repetition.”  The Boston Herald describes Bennett's music as “exploratory Folk-Jazz hybrid.”  Timeout New York raves, “Daniel Bennett airs his lilting, potentially hypnotic compositions!”

Rosemere Road - Saturday May 20th, 2017
Presented by The Good Art Series.

When: Saturday May 20th, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
Who: Rosemere Road
What: They say home is where the heart is, and for family band Rosemere Road that statement rings particularly true.  Sisters Carson and Emmery Brakke grew up in suburban Rhode Island, with their cousin Kara McKee just blocks away, all singing folk songs (and many, many Christmas carols) in their parents' living rooms from as early on as they can remember.
Growing up in a close knit Irish family, music was always a part of all of their lives, and growing up in the same small town meant their musical journeys were fairly similar.  They took piano lessons (all from the same teacher), vocal lessons (all from the same teacher), joined their high school choirs (all at the same high school) and sang in college A Cappella groups (NOT all at the same college).  It wasn't until they were out in the world and pursuing separate paths that they realized singing in three part harmony is a lot more fun when you do it with people you love.  After years of living apart, 2016 found the girls all living in Boston for the first time, and they decided to try their hand at putting their individual musical pursuits together into one.  Needless to say, it was a natural fit.
